Possible Homemade Mixed Nut Butter Recipe if she clears every nut except cashew/pistachio/walnut/pecan
NOTE: we had been making a tolerated mixed nut butter weekly, adding each nut she had “cleared” (ie: eaten for five days and gotten up to 1 teaspoon). Unfortunately, after this going well for over a month, she reacted to the mixed nut butter on June 10th. The mix at that point contained peanut butter, almond butter, walnut butter, hazelnut butter and tahini (sesame). We are now having to re-test all of those nuts/seeds individually to determine which she is now allergic to. So far she is allergic to walnut, and we are making our way through very measured home tests of the others. Because she developed this allergy we are very wary that things she currently is seeming to tolerate could turn into allergy on down the road. At some point we hope we will have enough confidence in her tolerance to make a mixed nut butter again to add some ease to daily feeding.
